Debenhams automates server recovery assurance

In partnership with our reseller Silverstring Ltd, Debenhams, leading department stores group operating in the UK and other countries, signs SMARTtsm order to deploy SMARTtsm software, facilitating automated server recovery processes directly from server backups stored in IBM TSM.

The SMARTtsm solution centralizes compliance-related recovery tests to document recovery assurance for server backups stored in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.

Executing frequent and automated server recoveries directly out of IBM TSM onto a low-cost dissimilar test platform, SMARTtsm reports on recoverability as well as Recovery Time (RTO).

In combination with SMARTtsm's SLA-based recovery (Service Level Agreement), each recovery process reports on compliance, comparing actual recovery time with expected (SLA) recovery time.
